What’s the story?

ECW legend Tommy Dreamer has taken to social media to offer his assessment on Ronda Rousey’s in-ring segment on RAW.

Apparently, Dreamer had a few words of technical advice for Rousey. Besides, Dreamer also referred a few notable WWE Superstars who could help the Rowdy One improve the move she executed on RAW.

In case you didn’t know…

‘Rowdy’ Ronda Rousey possesses a wealth of grappling knowledge, and medaled in the sport of Judo; besides also earning several submission wins over the course of her long & storied MMA career.

Meanwhile, Tommy Dreamer is best known for his Hardcore Matches in ECW, besides also having competed in the WWE.

The heart of the matter

Ronda Rousey was involved in a segment alongside Kurt Angle, Triple H and Stephanie McMahon on this week’s edition of Monday Night RAW. Rousey & Angle got into a physical altercation with McMahon & Triple H respectively; with Rousey ending up flooring McMahon with a Samoan Drop.

Tommy Dreamer weighed with his critique of Rousey pulling off the maneuver; commending the latter on a job well done. However, Dreamer explained that Rousey is trapping her arm during the move, causing the opponent to land on her arm & shoulder—something that could hurt Rousey.

Furthermore, Dreamer added that Rousey could turn to WWE Superstars such as The Rock, Nia Jax, Tamina Snuka, Roman Reigns & The Usos in order to help improve her Samoan Drop technique.

What’s next?

The WWE confirmed that Ronda Rousey & Kurt Angle will compete against Stephanie McMahon & Triple H in a Mixed Tag Team Match at WrestleMania 34 on April 8th.

Author’s take

Honestly speaking, Ronda Rousey is a crafty grappler, and her technique on display at this week’s RAW seemed great to most fans.

Regardless, constructive criticism is seldom a bad thing, and Dreamer seems to be looking out for Rousey’s in-ring safety. Learning & evolution is a never-ending process.
