WWE News: Top NXT Superstar reacts to losing undefeated streak

Black promises that Adam Cole will 'Fade to Black'

What's the story?

The most recent episode of NXT featured a fantastic Fatal-Four-Way match for the #1 contendership to the NXT Title, with Lars Sullivan, Johnny Gargano, Killian Dain and Aleister Black putting on a superb performance. However, during the match Gargano would pin Black to pick up the victory, ending Black's undefeated run in the process.

In case you didn't know...

Black has dominated the NXT roster since debuting, laying waste to all who opposed him with his patented Black Mass finisher. One of Black's victims was Adam Cole in a qualifying match for the #1 Contendership Fatal Fourway match, with Cole losing his own undefeated streak in his failure to advance in the series.

The heart of the matter

Cole and the Undisputed Era wouldn't take the Black's victory laying down though, as they interfered in the Fatal-Four-Way match to prevent Black from winning, and managed to impact Aleister enough to allow Gargano to pick up the victory and return the favour by costing Black his unpinned and undefeated streak.

However, if I was Adam Cole, Bobby Fish and Kyle O'Reilly I'd be walking around NXT with eyes in the back of my head because Aleister Black has sworn revenge on the faction that cost him.

What's next?

Currently The Undisputed Era hold the NXT Tag-Team Titles with O'Reilly and Fish toppling former champions SaNItY. If Aleister Black wanted revenge then taking the tag-team titles might be a good way to go, perhaps we can finally see that anticipated tag-team 'Black Velvet' that people have wanted ever since the Velveteen Dream vs Aleister Black at NXT TakeOver: WarGames.

Author's take

A feud between Aleister Black and Adam Cole is sure to be a great one as both are superb talents in the ring. With the NXT Title match between Gargano and Almas as well as this upcoming feud, the next TakeOver is looking pretty darn good.
