WWE News: Top WWE Executive reveals why Vince McMahon is hell bent on pushing Roman Reigns

He knows he’s on the fast track

This question must have passed through the minds of many a male member of the WWE Universe: “Why in the name of 25-inch biceps is Vince McMahon hell bent on pushing Roman Reigns?”

The more magnanimous of the population will know why, but for those who don’t, WWE’s Vice President of Digital Media Content Joey Styles stated the obvious in a recent shoot with Cathy Kelley: “"Bottom line is, if our chairman thinks he sees a future star as a babyface, that's how things are gonna play out.

“But the answer is Vince thinks it can work. He's been right much, much, much, much, much more than wrong over the course of the last 40 years. I'm sorry, but I'm not gonna second-guess the chairman."

When WWE announcer Cathy Kelley, who was conducting the interview, remarked that all her female friends are huge fans of the recently-returned former WWE Champion, Styles chimed in, “That's part of it: Moms are the ones who bring kids to shows. Kids like Roman Reigns. Moms like Roman Reigns. That's the reason. Just because some people boo him doesn't mean everyone doesn't like him.”

Styles signed a one-time deal to do commentary for the inaugural ECW One Night Stand back in 2005 and stayed on with the WWE as part of the broadcast team. He was appointed Director of Digital Media Content in 2008.
