What’s the story?

Former WWE superstar and American model Torrie Wilson was recently interviewed by TMZ, where she was asked what her thoughts were on Ronda Rousey potentially signing with the WWE in the near future.

Wilson told TMZ that Rousey is a great talent and Vince McMahon needs to offer a contract to the UFC legend as soon as possible.

In case you didn’t know…

Ronda Rousey is a former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion and is one of the most feared MMA fighters of all time. She also remains as UFC’s inaugural Women’s Bantamweight Champion.

Ever since her loss to Amanda Nunes in 2016, there have been talks of Rousey signing a WWE contract and jump ship to Pro Wrestling from the world of Mixed Martial Arts. The 30-year-old herself has stated in the past that she is a huge Pro Wrestling fan and has been spotted at various WWE events, most notably at Wrestlemania 31—when Rousey and The Rock assaulted Triple H and Stephanie McMahon, in front of the Santa Clara crowd.

Since then, Rousey has also been spotted during WWE’s Mae Young Classic tournament and also at several NXT live events.

The heart of the matter

During her interview with TMZ, former WCW and WWE superstar Torrie Wilson was asked regarding her take on former UFC Bantamweight, Ronda Rousey and was asked to give her thoughts regarding Rousey signing with Vince McMahon’s promotion in the near future.

Wilson praised Rousey by saying that she is badass and believes that she has a huge fan following, which will help her a lot during her WWE tenure. Torrie also stated that Ronda is a very strong woman and will be a force to be reckoned in the WWE.

What’s next?

It is a matter of time before Ronda Rousey signs with the WWE and it is quite possible that the WWE universe might even witness Rousey in action at Wrestlemania 34.

There has been a lot speculation that has suggested that Rousey and her four horsewomen crew will face WWE’s four horsewomen, in 2018 at “The Grandest Stage of Them All”.

Author’s Take

I agree with Torrie Wilson’s comments here and I do believe that Rousey’s overwhelming popularity with the mainstream crowd will not only help her in the WWE but also will play a huge factor for the company itself, in the future. If Ronda Rousey does sign with the WWE in 2018, then she will surely be a major draw for the promotion.
