WWE News: Tough Enough winner Sara Lee released by WWE

The Tough Enough winning curse seems to continue

Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet reported that Sara Lee, the winner of the most recent Tough Enough season has been released by WWE. Sara Lee won the competition hosted by Chris Jericho to win a $250,000 developmental contract with WWE. Though she had made her house show debut in March, she has not been utilised and has yet to make an on-screen appearance. The runner-up of Tough Enough, Mandy Rose, however, has already made a few televised appearances on NXT.

Mandy Rose also earned a contract and stars in Total Divas, an E! reality show that also features WWE superstars Nikki Bella, Brie Bella, Paige, Natalya, and Naomi, among other names.

While the reason for Sara Lee's release was initially not known, it was then spotted on her Facebook account, where she revealed that she is expecting a child with her boyfriend, NXT superstar Wesley Blake.

The possible reason behind her release

Though this has not been confirmed to be the reason, 2 and 2 seems to add up. It is highly possible that Sara Lee herself might have asked for her release upon hearing of her pregnancy. We will definitely be finding out updates on the details behind her release in the coming few days.

Winning Tough Enough has historically not meant much, but now it is up to Josh Bredl, the winner of the male side of Tough Enough, to prove things wrong. He currently wrestles under the name Bronson Matthews and has made multiple appearances in the NXT house show circuits. Patrick Clark and Daria Benanto were also two competitors in the same season of Tough Enough who have made successful television debuts and have had successful runs so far on the house show circuit.

Zamariah “ZZ” Loupe was the runner-up of the male side of Tough Enough and was released from his developmental contract a couple of months ago. It is quite interesting to see how the runner-ups and other competitors of the show have already managed to take the right step ahead. The winners and people who get through Tough Enough are determined by fan vote. Much to the dismay of Lita and Booker T, that is the reason why “ZZ” managed to get as far as he did in Tough Enough.

As mentioned above, we are still yet to find out how the releasing of Sara Lee really went about.
