Triple H addresses Conor McGregor, Ronda Rousey and Floyd Mayweather rumours

What's the story?

As part of the WWE UK tour that's taking place currently, Triple H is doing the press rounds and sat down with Good Morning Britain to talk about the WWE.

"The Game" spoke about how it's a storytelling platform, a generational product and, more importantly, whether or not several big names like Conor McGregor, Ronda Rousey and Floyd Mayweather will be heading towards the WWE.

In case you didn't know...

There has been intense speculation surrounding two of UFC's biggest ever stars in Conor McGregor and Ronda Rousey joining the WWE.

Whilst McGregor doesn't look likely yet, Rousey has actually made a Wrestlemania appearance for the company, and was spotted at their Mae Young Classic starting a possible angle with the WWE's 'Four Horsewomen.'

The heart of the matter

Good Morning Britain interviewer Ben Shepherd wasted no time in grilling Triple H about the possibility of the WWE signing a few of the exciting names that have been linked with the wrestling company. Here's what Triple H had to say,

On a potential future match with Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson:

"You know, Dwayne and I started our careers together, I've probably fought him more than anybody, I've said it before, I'd love to dance with 'The Great One' one last time."

On Conor Mcgregor joining the WWE:

"Conor McGregor has said a lot of stuff about WWE in the past, I don't have a problem with it because he said I was a don which is great, but he said a lot of stuff about our talent in the past, Conor McGregor comes in it's not going to be an easy go."

On Floyd Mayweather making a return following his Wrestlemania match with the Big Show:

"You've seen Floyd Mayweather before, Floyd Mayweather worked with the Big Show, fought the Big Show at Wrestlemania, on one of our grandest stages"

And last but not least, Triple H addressed the speculation surrounding Ronda Rousey and the WWE:

"She's very interested in our business, always has been a huge fan, that's where the rowdy Ronda came from, I think she's interested in the opportunity, I'm interested in offering her the opportunity, so we've got some talking to do."

What's next?

Of all of the names mentioned, it seems like Ronda Rousey is the most likely as she's already training at the WWE Performance Centre and seems set to have a match alongside her UFC 'Four Horsewomen' against Charlotte Flair, Bayley, Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch, potentially at Wrestlemania.

Author's take

These were incredibly cagey responses from Triple H, who seemed adamant he wasn't going to give anything away, which is fair enough.

Personally, I think it's all but guaranteed that Conor McGregor will appear in the WWE at some point in the future.
