What’s the story?

Per Wrestlinginc.com., Triple H & Stephanie McMahon attended the Television Critics Association Winter Tour in California, representing the WWE brand.

While at the event, Triple H & Stephanie were probed on Rich Swann’s current WWE status, in response to which the duo affirmed that Swann will remain suspended until the case is closed, and terminated if found guilty by a court of law.

In case you didn’t know…

Rich Swann was involved in a domestic violence incident with his wife Su Yung (real-name—Vannarah Riggs).

Swann was seen dragging Yung into their car by forcing her into a head-lock, despite her protests against going with him. Per the police report, two witnesses confirmed seeing Swann put Yung into a head-lock, drag her back to the car, and speed away from the scene.

The heart of the matter

The Rich Swann-Su Yung incident subsequently received nationwide coverage, and the WWE immediately suspended Swann from the roster ahead of his title shot against Cruiserweight Champion Enzo Amore.

WWE executives Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque & Stephanie McMahon opened up on Swann’s standing in the WWE; stating—

“We are just waiting on legal. We have a zero-tolerance policy on that, as you’ve seen, so he’s suspended until it is determined legally one way or the other…And if he’s convicted, he will be released.”

Furthermore, Triple H reiterated that should Swann be found guilty of the charges levied against him, his WWE contract will be terminated and the 205 Live Superstar shall be released immediately.

What’s next?

Rich Swann and Su Yung are presently in the midst of their case and will have their day in a court of law.

Should Swann be convicted for his alleged offences, he’d be released, effective immediately, from the WWE.
