WWE News: Triple Threat Women's Match to determine 5th Spot on Women's Team announced for Raw

Who will earn a spot on the team? WWE announced via Twitter that Bayley, Dana Brooke and Mickie James will compete in a triple threat match to determine the final spot on the Raw Women’s Team for Survivor Series.

The match will take place on next week’s episode of Monday Night Raw which is the go-home show for the upcoming pay-per-view.

The Raw Women’s Team began to take shape following a triple threat match with Alicia Fox, Bayley and Sasha Banks to determine the team captain. Many fans expected Sasha or Bayley to win, but Fox won the captain’s position.

The second addition to the team occurred was Nia Jax who was added by Fox after Jax defeated Bayley in singles competition a week after Fox was named the captain.

The third and fourth additions to the team were Asuka and Sasha Banks who were added to the team following their matches on this week’s episode of Raw.

Many fans were expecting Bayley to be added to the team at some point, but the storyline might be heading towards Bayley not earning a spot.

Banks and Bayley defeated Fox and Jax on this week’s episode of Raw, but only Banks has been added to the Raw Women’s Team.

The former Raw Women’s Champion is considered by many to be mishandled on the main roster despite winning the title and retaining it later at WrestleMania 33.

The WWE has consistently booked her to lose in big matches since WrestleMania and that trend could continue next week on Raw.
