WWE News: Twitter explodes after WWE announce a PPV called 'Great Balls Of Fire'

What’s the story?

The official Twitter account of the American Airlines Arena posted a video hyping Brock Lesnar making his return at a pay per view taking place at the venue in July. To the surprise of many, a logo with the name WWE ‘Great Balls of Fire’ appeared at the end of the clip. Check out the tweet below:

In case you didn’t know...

Originally the Monday Night Raw branded pay per view for July was Bad Blood in Hartford, Connecticut. The last time the WWE held a Bad Blood pay per view was in 2004 and the WWE was going to revive the name for the first time in 13 years.

What’s next?

The Monday Night Raw brand looks ahead to the Payback pay per view this Sunday. The big matches of this event include Roman Reigns against Braun Strowman and Chris Jericho against Kevin Owens for the United States Championship.

Author’s take

I was waiting throughout the day for this to end up as some sort of joke or error, but after looking at WWE.com’s upcoming events, Great Balls Of Fire is a reality. The idea to name a WWE pay per view as such is baffling, to say the least.
