Tye Dillinger's response if epic, to say the least
Tye Dillinger's response is epic

What’s the story?

Tye Dillinger was reportedly involved in an altercation with a fan at an airport.

Dillinger took to social media to confirm this and explained how the unidentified man ruined the moment for everyone else present.

In case you didn’t know…

Tye Dillinger, real name Ronald Arneill, previously performed for the WWE under the ring name Gavin Spears in 2006 before being released three years later.

Dillinger resumed working on the independent wrestling circuit as Shawn Spears before returning to WWE’s NXT brand in 2013. Working in NXT as Tye Dillinger, the Canadian Superstar made his main roster debut as Tye Dillinger on SmackDown Live earlier this year.

The heart of the matter

Per Tye Dillinger’s account of events that transpired at the airport, a fan yelled at him stating, “I hope you get released again, Shawn!”

While referencing Dillinger's indie ring name the fan wished WWE would release Tye Dillinger again much like he was let go back in 2009. Nevertheless, Dillinger took the snide comment in jest and simply pointed out how the fan was wrong in ruining the moment for other fans/ travellers present around them at the airport.

Furthermore, Dillinger commented that he was sorry for not signing the fan’s multiple items (8 items according to Dillinger), which the unruly fan apparently wanted to be signed presumably in order to sell and turn a profit on eBay.

What’s next?

Tye Dillinger presently competes for WWE’s Blue Brand and contends in the mid-card of SmackDown Live's stacked Men’s Division.

Author’s take

Let’s get serious here for a moment and understand the cardinal rule of dealing with a WWE Superstar or any of our celebrity for that matter.

WWE Superstars are human and one ought to respect these performers’ privacy. Besides, granted that the fan wanted to get the items signed to sell online for money if he truly were a fan he wouldn’t have turned against Dillinger the moment he refused to sign all 8 of the man’s items.
