Kane and Finn Balor engaged in brief banter before their match on Monday Night RAW
Kane and Finn Balor engaged in brief banter before their match on Monday Night RAW

What’s the story?

The WWE didn’t air the following promo featuring Finn Balor and Kane as RAW went to commercial at the time—

Balor came down to the ring and asked Kane—who’d just beaten Jason Jordan to come back and face him. While Kane simply shot down the proposition, he later returned to have a match with Balor.

In case you didn’t know…

The latter hour of this week’s Monday Night RAW saw Kane defeat Jordan by way of Count-Out following which Balor came down to the ring and RAW cut to commercial break.

The Demon King and The Devil’s Favorite Demon’s promo was unaired, as RAW returned on air after the break.

The heart of the matter

As the RAW broadcast resumed, RAW General Manager Kurt Angle had made Finn Balor vs. Kane official to close out the show.

Nevertheless, the unaired promo footage is now circulating the interwebs. Finn Balor came down to the ring, and stated—

“Hey, what’s the matter, Kane? Afraid to face the real Demon? How about you come back out here and face me like a man! You’re not gonna come back out here Kane…Is Kane a chicken?”

Kane did came out to the ring and bragged about how he’s destroyed everything that’s been placed in front of him. The Big Red Machine added that he could tear Balor apart, limb by limb, but that he is simply not worth his time.

What’s next?

Kane was disqualified after he struck Balor with a steel chair, following which Braun Strowman came to the former Universal Champion’s rescue, and attacked Kane.

The situation surrounding Kane, Balor and Strowman will unravel itself next week on Monday Night Raw.

Author’s take

Well, Finn Balor and Kane should definitely be given the spotlight that they’re getting right now, and it would be smart booking on the part of WWE to continue the feud between the two demons.

That begs the question… where exactly does Braun Strowman fit into this storyline? Time will tell. Would you like to see The Monster Among Men insert himself into a feud between the WWE’s two demons? Sound off in the comments!
