What’s the story?
WWE after the Payback PPV that Strowman had suffered a torn rotator cuff injury. As expected, the Monster Among Men is not legitimately hurt. While a torn rotator cuff takes several months to recover from; the man who beat Roman Reigns at the recent PPV is on the current European tour with the rest of the roster.
In case you didn’t know...
After WWE Payback went off the air, Strowman uttered the now famous line “I’m not through with you” just like he did before tipping an ambulance over with Reigns inside. Strowman would charge Reigns but missed and went shoulder first into the open ambulance door.
The heart of the matter...
They are playing the injury angle on television to show the brutality of not only the Payback match but the entire feud as a whole. At the same time, Strowman is one of the hottest WWE Superstars over the past year. It makes complete sense to bring him on European tour for the fans to see.
What’s next?
The next Monday Night Raw pay per view is Extreme Rules on June 4th. The rumour is that Strowman and Reigns will clash once again to potentially end the feud once and for all. It could be a Last Man Standing match, a straight no disqualification match, or even an Ambulance Match.
Author’s take
I’m perfectly fine with having an injury fabricated to further the feud. There have been some monumental moments in the Strowman vs. Reigns feud, and now that we finally get to see Strowman show some weakness just adds to the story.
There shouldn’t be an issue with Strowman going on the European tour. Especially in the social media age where the WWE Superstars give us a little insight into their real lives, the fans have to separate story lines from reality. Roman Reigns and Strowman were both spotted breaking kayfabe and posing for photos on the tour and we assure you it was awesome. Check it out here.‘
