WWE News: Randy Orton is one month away from returning

Orton became the first WWE World Heavyweight Champion

A good number of wrestlers from the main roster of WWE are currently sidelined due to injuries. Unfortunately, Randy Orton’s name comes in that list as well. Last year in October, the former WWE World Champion suffered a legitimate shoulder injury and has been out of action since then.

Recently, Orton was advertised for some live events in August, which indicated that The Viper is going to return very soon. However, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Orton's shoulder is still not 100%, but its condition is gradually improving. Adding to this, wrestlinginc.com notes that, Orton is not healthy enough to train but is about a month or so away from training for an in-ring return.

It seems Orton’s recovery process is taking more time than expected as it was reported earlier that the original timeline for Orton’s return to training was mid-June. Randy was supposed to be in Orlando at the WWE Performance Center now, where he would have trained for a few weeks. If it went as expected, Orton should have been ready for a ring return around this time.

A few days prior to his injury, Orton was booked in a rivalry with the Wyatt Family. In this feud, he was assisted by Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns. Due to this injury, he was pulled out from his match at Hell in a Cell pay-per-view.
