Vince McMahon's movie may be out by the end of this year!

What's the story?

Mr McMahon is never one to stay out of the limelight. A legend in the pro wrestling business, Vince McMahon brought WWE to the forefront of the global wrestling industry.

Last year, Sony's TriStar company was reportedly creating a biopic about the Chairman of the WWE, tentatively titled 'Pandemonium'.

An update about the progress made in regards to the movie has surfaced online, with Ewrestling News reporting that the screenplay has been completed.

In case you didn't know...

Vince McMahon has had a controversial but successful life as the Chairman of the biggest wrestling, or as he likes to call it, 'Sports Entertainment' company in the world.

Be it the steroids scandal in 1993, the Montreal Screwjob, bringing WWE out of the times of wrestling territories, revealing the truth about kayfabe, his feud with 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin, buying out WCW, or faking his own death, the Chairman has done it all.

A movie made about Vince's life has no shortage of material, but the script might not strictly adhere to the historical events.

The heart of the matter

The studio has offered the role of Vince in the movie to Bradley Cooper.

An update about the movie stated that the script has been completed and turned over to the studio. If the studio approves the screenplay, it will be sent to Cooper to review. The plan is to shoot the movie in the Spring of 2018.

John Requa and Glenn Ficarra are set to be the directors of the film, while Charlie Gogolak and Adam Goldworn will produce.

What's next?

If all goes well the movie will be filmed during the Spring months of 2018, and come to the screens by 2019.

Author's take

With WWE Studios involved in the film, it may be a glorified tribute to Mr McMahon, instead of being a true picture about the man's life. All we can do is wait and watch.

There is a lot of potential in the movie and with a top guy like Bradley Cooper at the helm, the film may even generate Oscar buzz.
