WWE News:  Updates on what's next for The Undisputed Era after NXT Takeover: New Orleans (NON-SPOILER)

The
The Undisputed Era celebrating after Roderick Strong joined

What's the story?

On Thursday morning, Wrestling Inc. provided some details as a result of the latest NXT television tapings that occurred at Full Sail last night. This article will detail what's next for The Undisputed Era in a non-spoiler capacity after the results of NXT Takeover: New Orleans.

In case you didn't know...

The Undisputed Era formed at NXT Takeover: Brooklyn III last August when Adam Cole, Bobby Fish, and Kyle O'Reilly attacked Drew McIntyre after he captured the NXT Championship from Bobby Roode. All three men had successful careers in Ring Of Honor before heading to NXT.

The heart of the matter

The Undisputed Era not only walked out with the NXT Tag Team Championships, the Dusty Cup, and the new NXT North American Championship, they gained a new member in Roderick Strong after he turned on Pete Dunne to allow the Era to win the tag match.

According to the tapings from last night, the first NXT North American title defense for Adam Cole will come on the April 25th edition of NXT against Oney Lorcan. As expected, Roderick Strong and Kyle O'Reilly are working together as the NXT Tag Team Champions as Bobby Fish recovers from a torn ACL, and will be out for a least nine months.

Fish did accompany The Undisputed Era on the ramp at the end of Takeover, and I can confirm from photographs on Twitter from the tapings last night that he did accompany them to the ring as well.

What's next?

The latest round of NXT television tapings occurred on Wednesday evening this week, and the first episode from those tapings will air on the WWE Network on Wednesday, April 18th. Expect to hear from Roderick Strong as he potentially reveals why he turned on Pete Dunne to join The Undisputed Era.

Author's take

Prior to NXT Takeover: New Orleans, I provided five bold predictions, and to my amazement, I was spot on with the turn of Roderick Strong. To me it made sense, and I'm glad it played out that way. All they need now is to bring in Shayna Baszler or someone to take her out, and they can have all of the gold in NXT.

I'm definitely looking forward to seeing how NXT television plays out over the next few weeks after that amazing Takeover.
