WWE News: Vince McMahon almost played the part of Adam Rose's bunny

Adam Rose made a surprising revelation in a recent interview.

What’s the story?

In a recent interview with WSVN-TV former WWE Superstar, Adam Rose claimed that Vince McMahon almost played the part of his bunny in his party host gimmick during his time with WWE.

In case you didn’t know...

Adam Rose (real name- Raymond Leppan) is best known for his time as Adam Rose on the WWE main roster from 2014-16, besides having performed in its developmental territories from 2010-14.

The 37-year old South-African pro-wrestler was fired from the WWE last year after allegations of domestic violence against him.

The heart of the matter:

Rose claimed in March of this year that 2017 would be his last year in the pro-wrestling industry besides revealing whom he’d like to face in his retirement match later this year. Rose also revealed that WWE management were allegedly interested in roping in Vince McMahon himself to play the role of the ‘bunny’-- who was his favourite party member aka Rosebud.

Here are a few excerpts from his statements:

“Road Dogg was in a meeting for two hours before Raw to figure out who the bunny was going to be and they couldn’t decide. I wanted [Justin] Gabriel to do it because he was my friend since I was 15 and he was 16. His dad trained me and we’ve know each other our whole lives.

I said let him do it and they said well no one really knows him anymore and they won’t get the reaction they want. Then there was a suggestion that Vince McMahon do it and I was like ‘What’s the payoff? I don’t get it.’ They were like ‘We don’t know where to go, so why not have a crazy billionaire do it?’”

Furthermore, he stated his retirement plans adding that he’d like to go out against his good friend Bull Dempsey or against fellow WWE veteran and his real-life boyhood friend Justin Gabriel.

Rose confessed that he doesn’t want to be like the innumerable other pro-wrestlers and hang around the business forever, besides stating that he has other business interests outside the industry that he intends to pursue to provide for his wife and two children.

The Exotic Express also praised current WWE Superstar Braun Strowman for being the nicest person in the world and revealed that if one was to hear Strowman sing a country song, one would fall in love with him.

He also recalled Strowman being the most memorable Rosebud of them all. Besides, speaking about his entrance when he’d let himself go in a free-fall and the Rosebuds would catch him, he confessed that he hated the free-fall part the most since he’d usually have to practice the spot with unknown extras.

What’s next?

Rose aka Leppan performs on the indie circuit as of now and will bid adieu to the sport later this year.

Author’s take:

Adam Rose had a brief run with WWE but kudos to the man for living out his childhood dream of becoming a pro-wrestler.

We wish Mr. Raymond Leppan the best of luck in his future endeavours.
