What’s the story?

On Stephanie McMahon’s 41st birthday, WWE Chairman, Vince McMahon took to Twitter and decided to wish his daughter.

In case you didn’t know…

Stephanie McMahon has been an on-air personnel for WWE since 1999. She first debuted on TV as Vince McMahon’s ‘sweet daughter’ in a storyline that involved Vince and The Undertaker. Ever since then she has been part of many important storylines throughout the years, and has also played huge roles during her WWE tenure.

Stephanie has been part of some of the most historic angles in the company’s history such as the McMahon-Helmsley era storyline, the Invasion angle and also The Authority storyline.

During her stint in WWE, she also managed to win the WWE Women’s Championship in 1999, when she defeated Jacqueline by the help of Tori and D-Generation X. She had a decent enough run with the title before losing it to Lita in 2000.

In her WWE career, Stephanie has also been part of some of the most memorable in-ring matches. Her matches against Lita, Trish Stratus are some of her best work but her bout against Vince McMahon at No Mercy, 2003 is also another match that stands out the most. Stephanie also faced Brock Lesnar on a Smackdown episode in 2003. The fact that Stephanie agreed to step into the ring with ‘The Beast’ himself is a huge achievement for her.

The heart of the matter

On September 24, 2017, Stephanie McMahon turned 41 and Vince McMahon wished his daughter on Twitter. Vince tweeted out a photo of him and Stephanie and labeled the former Raw General Manager as ‘incomparable’. The WWE Chairman also claimed himself to be a lucky Dad.

The father-daughter duo has been featured on television several times and together they have been part of many memorable angles over the years. The two were recently seen on TV together when Stephanie came out to the aid of her dad on a recent Smackdown Live episode after Vince suffered a brutal beating at the hands of Kevin Owens.

What’s next?

Before her recent Smackdown Live appearance, Stephanie was last seen on TV as Raw commissioner. Her last TV appearance was at Wrestlemania 33 when she was at ringside with her husband Triple H, during his match against Seth Rollins. During that match, Stephanie went through a table after a collision with Triple H, and she did not appear on TV for many months before returning two weeks back.

Currently, it seems that Stephanie will make limited appearances on television, and it is likely that she will be focusing more on her job as the Chief Brand Officer of WWE.

Author’s take

Personally, it is good to see Vince McMahon wishing well for his daughter. The two have shared rivalry on-screen for a long time but kayfabe aside, it is clear that the family love remains intact.
