What's the story?

War Machine will make their official television debut on NXT in the next couple of weeks after taping a match before NXT TakeOver: New Orleans, however, the main takeaway is that they have a new name going forward.

In case you didn't know...

War Machine were part of a few house shows as War Machine, but were yet to debut since signing for the WWE in January. Indy wrestling fans have been waiting as they are all too aware of just how good the team of Raymond Rowe and Hanson are. Now we know we don't have to wait much longer.

The heart of the matter

NXT TakeOver already had an incredible card for the WWE Universe in New Orleans, but there was another surprise for the live crowd as War Machine made their official debut, however they have undergone a name change for televised NXT.

As you can see, the team of Raymond Rowe and Hanson are now the War Raiders and they laid waste to a whole bunch of men in when they interrupted a match between Heavy Machinery and, Moss and Sabbatelli in what will be their NXT television debut. We can expect to see it either this week, or next week I'd expect.

What's next?

With some NXT Tag Teams like SAnitY and Authors of Pain long due a call-up, War Raiders are sure to rise very swiftly to the top of the NXT card. Mark my words I won't be long until these two are NXT Tag Team Champions.

Author's take

I've never been a fan of big guys squashing nameless competitors to build their dominance but I would have happily accepted it for the War Raiders until the NXT roster changes and call-ups have happened and the dust has settled in NXT, ushering in the new era. But they've literally just annihilated two of NXT's top teams on their debut, so fair enough!
