What’s the story?
Although it was confirmed that Roman Reigns had suffered a separated shoulder along with several internal injuries and cracked ribs, he appeared at a WWE Live event in Providence and speared Braun Strowman through a table.

During last week’s Monday Night Raw, Strowman attacked Reigns backstage while the latter was being interviewed about ending The Undertaker’s career. Braun appeared from nowhere and sent Reigns flying through a catering table. He then proceeded to batter and incapacitate the Big Dog.

However, it was not the end of the assault. Strowman attacked Reigns again and flipped over the ambulance while Reigns was still inside it.
In an official storyline update, WWE stated that Roman Reigns had suffered a separated shoulder in addition to several internal injuries.
The heart of the matter
Despite the WWE confirming a serious injury (which usually takes six to eight weeks to recover from), Reigns was spotted doing this at a Live Event:
Yes, he is sporting a cast on his ‘injured’ left shoulder, but he is definitely not missing any time. As can be seen in the video, Reigns first punches Strowman right across the face. He then waits before launching the spear. Strowman ends ups being crushed through a table placed at the corner.

According to the numerous accounts from the attendees, the fight between the two was the highlight of the show, and both men received thunderous applause.
What’s next?
A match is yet to be confirmed, but it is likely that Reigns will take on Strowman at this month’s WWE Payback pay-per-view. There is also the possibility that the company might be holding off the fight until Extreme Rules to play up the legitimacy of Reigns’ injuries.
Author’s take
If the WWE wants Roman to look strong, they need to have him show up on Monday and beat the snot out of Strowman. However, in that case, Roman will have to sell his kayfabe injury to perfection in front of the cameras. House shows are one thing, but live tapings are another and if Roman is unable to sell his injury, it could be detrimental to his career.
