What's the story?

After the news broke last week that Roman Reigns would make his Hollywood acting debut alongside fellow Samoan The Rock in Fast & Furious spin-off Hobbs & Shaw, the official trailer for the movie has now been released.

In case you didn't know...

The Rock debuted in the Fast & Furious series in the fifth installment of the franchise in 2011 as the character Luke Hobbs - and has taken on on a starring role ever since.

Last week, The Great One announced Reigns' debut in the franchise alongside him on his Instagram account before Reigns spoke out on his role in the movie shortly after.

Roman Reigns has shared some behind-the-scenes photos, too.

Roman Reigns has been off of WWE television since October 22nd, 2018 when he relinquished the Universal Championship and announced that he'd be stepping away from the ring indefinitely while he battles Leukaemia - a disease he has been dealing with for over 11 years.

Reigns has been in Hawaii recently, and it was recently revealed that a huge part of that time was spent alongside his cousin, The Rock, whose brother he plays in the movie that they were filming.

The heart of the matter

The trailer for Hobbs & Shaw, starring The Rock, has dropped today with The People's Champion officially unveiling it on Facebook. Sadly, though, Reigns' part seems to be a smaller one as the former WWE Universal Champion doesn't appear in the clip.

What's next?

The film is scheduled to be released in August 2019, so you can bet there'll be more trailers, snippets, photos and promotional materials released featuring both The Rock and Roman Reigns before then.
