WWE News: Carmella explains why she didn't cash in the MITB briefcase on SmackDown Live
What's the story?
Charlotte Flair defended her SmackDown Women's Title against Charlotte but it didn't get very far before Ruby Riot, Liv Morgan, and Sarah Logan jumped in to make a statement.
After dismantling Natalya outside of the ring, they turned their attention toward Charlotte Flair where they beat her down in spite of her best efforts to defend herself.
Some people were wondering why Carmella didn't come down and cash in her Money In The Bank Contract and it turns out Carmella had a very good reason.
In case you didn't know...
Carmella won her Money In The Bank briefcase twice with the help of James Ellsworth. Since Ellsworth's unfortunate release, she's had little time to rebuild a program and some people are looking for her to cash in her contract anytime now.
The heart of the matter
As tempting as it might have been to run down and cash in her contract with Charlotte Flair laid on in the middle of the ring, it turns out Carmella was intelligent enough to realise the dangers held in the ring with Riot, Morgan and Logan.
The Princess Of Staten Island also gave fair warning to not only stay away from her but to also stay out of her gear drawer. After all, Carmella buys all of her ring gear custom at this point and probably doesn't like the idea of sharing much.
Liv Morgan replied by simply reminding Carmella that she shouldn't tell her what to do and Carmella's gear drawer seems to be open for the taking.
Apparently, Liv Morgan had blocked and unblocked Carmella as the two had a little exchange. If there is some legit heat between the two they certainly sound awful chummy in this little social media interaction.
Armchair booking could have seen Carmella running down to cash in her Money In The Bank with the held of these NXT newcomers.
If Carmella would be revealed as this new stable's secret leader then it might see a highly entertaining program especially if Carmella picked up the SmackDown Women's Championship in the process and had the three hungry recent NXT call-ups to protect her.
I've been a fan of Carmella's since she first started Moonwalking and Trash Talking on NXT. Now that she's on SmackDown Live she shows no signs of slowing down. It's just sad that James Ellsworth isn't in the picture anymore because he really did add a unique element to her character.
But with this new stable added to the mix, who knows how things could come out in the wash?
