There's a lot of hype surrounding this super-athlete!

What's the story?

The first episodes of The Mae Young Classic were uploaded to the WWE Network today and keeping the female superstar theme, an announcement was made during one of the episodes that two new ladies were signed.

In case you didn't know...

For those not familiar with the Mae Young Classic, it is an all women tournament which features ladies from all over the world who compete for the right to move on and ultimately, win the Classic.

It's also worth noting that WWE's first ever full-time female referee, Jessika Carr is also working this tournament as well.

The heart of the matter....

As previously mentioned, some of the first matches from the inaugural Mae Young Classic were uploaded to the WWE Network today. During one of those matches, an announcement was made that two new female Superstars were signed by WWE.

Shadia Bseiso and Kacy Catanzaro were both signed by the company. Shadia is a 30-year-old television personality from Dubai.

She is an active mixed martial artist, with a blue belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu. Meanwhile, Kacy is well known for being the first female to compete in the qualifying course of NBC's American Ninja. She's also featured in Sports Illustrated's "Fittest 50."

What's next?

Both of these new signee's will be coming in with little, to no in-ring experience whatsoever.

With that said, both ladies will likely head straight to the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, where they will begin to learn the basic fundamental's of doing things the WWE way.

Authors take....

WWE officials seem to keep their thumb on the pulse of all potential future Superstars. Signing these two ladies helps keep the stock full as far as having an abundance of NXT rookies. They will help to make sure the future of NXT, and ultimately WWE, in general, keeps quality talent on hand for long term success.

One of the best things these ladies will bring to the table is that they both are brand new to the business and have no bad habits that the training staff will have to work around. From what I am hearing, these two signee's could bring a lot of great energy to the NXT team. Time will tell the final verdict.
