What's the story?

Current United Kingdom Champion Pete Dunne recently announced the arrival of his first child on Instagram.

In case you didn't know...

Pete Dunne first burst onto the scene as part of the first-ever United Kingdom Championship tournament back in 2017 where he was defeated in the final of the competition by 19-year-old Tyler Bate. Dunne was later able to prove his worth when he claimed the Championship from Bate at Takeover: Chicago a few months later.

Dunne has now held this Championship for more than 500 days and has defended a number of United Kingdom-based stars over the past year as well as NXT stand out's Adam Cole and Ricochet.

The heart of the matter

Pete Dunne announced earlier this year that his girlfriend Demi was expecting the couple's first child and that he or she was due in November. It appears that their child reached this due date since he revealed on Instagram earlier today that his latest addition to his family had finally arrived.

Dunne didn't reveal a name or gender of his first child, but simply posted the above image with the caption "r o y a l t y."

What's next?

Pete Dunne was part of NXT Takeover: War Games this past weekend where he was victorious inside the structure for the first time, but it appears that the United Kingdom Champion was at home in the UK so that he could be present for the birth of his first child. Dunne is currently the longest reigning Champion in WWE and huge things are expected of The Bruiserweight in the coming months.
