What’s the story?
The WWE has confirmed the signing of top indie mega-star Ricochet. Apparently, Ricochet reported to the WWE Performance Center with several other newly signed talents this week.

Ricochet, whose real name is Trevor Mann, is widely regarded as one of the best professional wrestlers in the world today.
The 29 year old Ricochet is world-renowned for his high-flying skills and ring presence as well, having competed and won titles in several notable promotions such as NJPW, Lucha Underground and Chikara to name a few.

The WWE sent out a statement regarding Ricochet’s signing. Below are a few excerpts from the same—
“Standing 5-foot-9 and weighing 188 pounds, Mann brings an astonishing assortment of aerial moves to the ring. He first earned notoriety in Japan for an eye-popping double-moonsault, and his 630° senton remains one of the most potent weapons in his arsenal. Mann, who credits Guerrero, Rey Mysterio and The Rock as three of his in-ring influences, was inspired to pursue sports-entertainment after watching The Great One and "Stone Cold" Steve Austin do battle at WrestleMania XV.”
Furthermore, the WWE emphasized the fact how professional wrestling/sports-entertainment fans today are in awe courtesy GIFs of Ricochet’s otherworldly aerial wrestling maneuvers.
Besides, the WWE also noted that Ricochet is only the second American to ever win New Japan Pro Wrestling's Best of the Super Juniors tournament—the first being WWE Hall of Famer, the late Eddie Guerrero.
