WWE/NXT News: WWE delays signing up ROH star Moose

Moose may have to wait for the PR tide to stem

Ring Of Honour star Moose, who was believed to be finished with the promotion following the Best in the World event that took place on June 24th, was rumoured to be signing on with the WWE after that.

However, there seems to have been a delay in proceedings due to a domestic violence incident that he was arrested for back in 2009, reports Wrestlinginc.com.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter had this to say regarding the situation: "He was actually told not to worry by WWE with the idea it's just a timing situation and not a closed door."

He also added that "He(Moose) was originally expected to be part of their September NXT introduction class."

Naturally, with both Adam Rose and Jerry Lawler recently being arrested in quick succession for the same reason, it makes perfect sense why the WWE are reluctant to sign up Moose immediately.

After morphing into a global banner for pro-wresting, it comes as no surprise that the WWE are cautious in such matters, given the PR repercussions that one misstep could entail; and signing a wrestler with a history of domestic violence on the back of these two incidents, was perhaps deemed to be imprudent.
