At NXT TakeOver: The End…, WWE Hal of Famer Paul Ellering returned to WWE with two behemoths and ordered them to take out the American Alpha. The duo decimated the American Alpha and stunned the NXT audience into silence. The Hall of Famer then ordered the duo to march out of the ring and the duo just did that.
The duo is called as Authors of Pain in the house show circuits, but WWE is looking to have them re-christened and packaged totally new. Cagesideseats reports that the tag team may be called as the Legion of Doom, after the famous duo managed by Paul Ellering, Reports also suggest that WWE has filed for the trademark on Legion of Doom recently, to be used in live and televised wrestling exhibitions.
This could mean that WWE is high on the duo and will probably have huge plans for them. A feud with American Alpha who are on the verge of debuting in the main roster will put the new tag team right near the NXT Tag Team Championships. With proper booking, this new tag team has everything to dominate the NXT Tag Team division for a long time.
