Sheamus wants to fight alongside the Bollywood superstar

Stephen Farrelly, the Irish professional wrestler who goes by the alias of Sheamus abbreviated from his previous ring name Sheamus O'Shaunessy, in the American company World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) took Twitter by storm on Friday when he tweeted that he wants to join forces with Bollywood superstar John Abraham.

The Irish wrestler believes the Indian actor can replace Cesaro as part of their tag team. This was Sheamus’s maiden India tour as he came to promote the recently launched video game WWE 2k17.

Sheamus started his tour from Jaipur and then visited Mumbai on 22 and 23 October to promote the video game produced by 2k Sports. The die-hard WWE fans who were there did not only get the opportunity to meet the famous Irish wrestler but also had a one-on-one interactive session. While the crowd did not stop cheering for the WWE star, the arrival of John Abraham took the excitement a notch higher.

John Abraham was present to promote his new release Force 2. The actor who is already putting up a great fight in the movie against antagonist Tahir Bhasin got the biggest challenge of his life when the WWE superstar took to his Twitter handle to form a tag team and have a run for the tag team titles.

John and Sheamus had a memorable meet-up where the duo shared some action moves from John Abraham’s upcoming movie Force 2 in Mumbai. We could well be seeing John replacing Cesaro and pairing up with Sheamus in the WWE, but not for the immediate future as Sheamus and Cesaro will be looking to beat the New Day at Hell in a Cell on Sunday.

Having understood the potential of wrestling in India, the WWE is sending in more of their ambassadors to promote the sport. Even Indian Olympian Sushil Kumar was also approached earlier this month to sign a WWE contract to reach to the mainstream wrestling audience. Mark Henry, the Big Show and a host of other WWE superstars have already visited India. Hopefully, we will get to see more Indian representation in the WWE sooner rather than later.
