WWE News: Kamala on life support following emergency surgery
Former WWE stars step-daughter reveals on Facebook that WWE legend is currently fighting for his life following emergency surgery.
What's the story?
It was revealed earlier today via Facebook that WWE legend Kamala has been placed on life support after undergoing emergency surgery over the weekend.
In case you didn't know...
Kamala was a popular star in WWE throughout the 1990s and is perhaps most memorable for his part in a feud with the Undertaker back in 1992. Their feud led to the first ever casket match in WWE at Survivor Series later that year, where The Undertaker managed to defeat the heavyweight.
Kamala has had a number of struggles with health over the past few decades stemming back to his diagnosis with diabetes back in 1992. He was still working for WWE at the time, but this later led to doctors being forced to amputate both of his legs due to complications with the illness a few years later.
Kamala hasn't wrestled since 2010 and it has been reported over the past few years that his health has been in decline.
The heart of the matter
Kamala's step-daughter Juanita James revealed that the former WWE star had been placed on life support earlier today after doctors were forced to perform emergency surgery.
James added that Kamala is showing signs of improvement and the doctors stated that he was looking good this morning. James had updated earlier in the day to reveal that doctors said that they didn't know if the legendary wrestler would survive the surgery, but his friend Koko B Ware was by his bedside.
Kamala has had his own fair share of problems over the past few decades but it seems that there is a lot of positive news coming out of this situation. Hopefully, the positive news will continue and Kamala will be back home soon.
Many of the WWE Universe grew up watching Kamala and see him as one of their favourite stars of the 1990s. Fans will be sending their prayers to Kamala and his family over the next few days and everyone at SportsKeeda wishes Kamala a speedy recovery from what will soon be considered to be just a setback.
