What's the story?
The women of both SmackDown Live and Monday Night Raw collided in a traditional elimination match, as part of the match Tamina unveiled a new theme song as she was accompanied to the ring by Lana.
In case you didn't know..
Tamina hasn't been given the attention she deserves on WWE TV over the past few months ever since she was unveiled as part of the Superstar Switch-Up following WrestleMania. When she made her debut she has a new WWE theme that seemingly worked well for her as a heel star. Lana recently joined Tamina as her manager and it looked as though WWE had some plans for the second generation wrestler moving forward.
Tamina was included in this year's elimination match by default since there were only five women on the SmackDown roster, excluding Lana who doesn't seem to be being used as a wrestler anymore.
The heart of the matter
Tamina made her entrance at Survivor Series followed by Lana and it seems that WWE has decided to change her theme song. This is usually a hint that a WWE star is about to be the subject of a push and considering Tamina was one of the last people eliminated as part of the bragging rights match, this could be a sign of things to come.
Tamina managed to eliminate Bayley as part of the match before she was then eliminated by Asuka as one of the final surviving women for the SmackDown brand along with Natalya. Many of the WWE Universe have taken note that Tamina was seemingly given a lot of ring time in the match, which could mean that her push to the SmackDown Women's Championship could be right around the corner.
What's next?
Lana has only had a handful of matches on the main roster, but she has had more shots at the Women's Championship than Tamina in her entire career.
Tamina and Lana have joined forces and since The Ravishing Russian is one of the best women's wrestlers on the mic in WWE right now, she could be the reason Tamina is finally being taken seriously.

Tamina is a second generation superstar but she is someone who is constantly overlooked by WWE and doesn't seem to be considered competition on the SmackDown Live roster. The Blue Brand has a strong women's division right now, but it seems that Tamina could be the next in line for a title shot.
