WWE News: WWE still high on Bray Wyatt, Planning huge match for him at Wrestlemania 33

Bray Wyatt hasn’t won any major championships in WWE

Bray Wyatt is a superstar that has still not reached his full potential in WWE. His gimmick is unique, he is a good talker and has a unique move set but is perhaps one of the most underutilised talents on the roster. Wyatt has been in some engaging feuds in the past and has put up great matches with the likes of Cena, Roman Reigns, Undertaker and Daniel Bryan.

But the biggest issue that Bray has faced is that he hasn’t quite been able to finish his feuds with decisive victories. Many might say that this is pro-wrestling and it doesn’t matter who wins or loses as long as they put up a great match. But Bray has lost some important ones over the course of his career. WrestleMania 30 should have had Bray Wyatt triumphing over John Cena. The Mania after that, Bray jobbed out to the Undertaker in a match where Wyatt could have been established as the new face of fear in the WWE.

Despite getting in some memorable matches with great workers, Bray hasn’t won the big ones. WWE has booked him to look weak and the result is that he has never held a title in the WWE. In fact, over the span of the last three years, Bray has never received a one on one title shot for any championship in the WWE. This has stalled his rise into the upper echelon of WWE superstars.

Bray Wyatt has himself admitted that it is the nature of his gimmick that prevents WWE from going all out on him. Just imagine Bray Wyatt representing WWE as its champion on Good Morning America or being interviewed by Jonathan Coachman on ESPN. It’s a public relations nightmare!

However, his talent has not gone unnoticed by the WWE management. The rumour mills have been generating some gossip about Bray Wyatt going into WrestleMania 33 to face the Rock. This would be a continuation of the angle from the last WrestleMania where The Rock pinned Eric Rowan in 6 seconds and the joined forces with Cena to make short work of the Wyatt family. If that doesn’t pan out, WWE would be looking to pit the returning Finn Balor against Wyatt at the biggest stage of them all.

Another interesting matchup rumour involves the ‘Eater of Worlds’ squaring off against ‘The Game’ Triple H. A Wyatt vs Triple H feud has been a long time in the making but other plans with Seth Rollins have taken precedence over that. Now with rumours circulating that WWE might schedule Triple H vs. Rollins at Survivor Series, Bray Wyatt might get the opportunity to start a rivalry with ‘The Cerebral Assassin’ on the road to WrestleMania. But Bray Wyatt is a part of the SmackDown roster while Triple H has exclusively appeared on RAW. So it will be interesting to see how WWE books this feud.

WWE creative might just give Bray that long awaited singles push. This could result in Bray winning some matches against relevant superstars before moving on to chase some titles.
