WWE News: WWE Superstar Harshly Criticizes his new merchandise on twitter

All you have to do is let Bray Wyatt in!
All you have to do is let Bray Wyatt in!

What's the story?

Bray Wyatt debuted his new Firefly Funhouse gimmick on Raw last week, and it was nothing short of a nightmare fuelled thrill ride through a very bizarre universe. A universe that includes a very creepy looking doll, a buzzard named Mercy and a man that seems to be having some kind of mental breakdown.

While Wyatt has been getting mixed reviews over this gimmick, it's safe to say The Eater of Worlds is in the minds of the WWE Universe and will remain in there for quite a while. Unfortunately for Wyatt however, he seems to have a problem with some of his new merchandise and took to Twitter to talk about it.

In case you didn't know...

After Wyatt debuted his new gimmick, he received a lot of rave reviews on twitter with some even praising his acting skills. Furthermore, the creative director of the segment went on to say in an interview that Wyatt's acting chops are on the same level of movie stars like Tom Cruise.

If nothing else, this new Firefly Funhouse gimmick is littered with potential that WWE seems intent on capitalizing it. Beyond that, it is a chance to revive Bray Wyatt's career after waiting for the mercy kills to his Eater of Worlds gimmick. Whether he succeeds or not remains to be seen, but it will be harder to do so if he is already knocking his own merchandise.

The heart of the matter

WWEshop.com released their new Bray Wyatt apparel and the response was underwhelming. In fact, the design of the shirt was so underwhelmingly odd and lackluster that even Bray Wyatt took to Twitter to crack jokes on his new merchandise. The question is whether he will get away with it or not.

What's next

The next episode of The Firefly Funhouse is believed to be scheduled for the upcoming episode of Monday Night Raw, but who knows what will happen if shareholders still aren't into the gimmick? Beyond that, one also has to wonder if Wyatt critisizing his own merchandise will only makes things worse for him.
