WWE News: WWE tease the split of The Miztourage on Raw

Booked to perfection.

What's the story?

This week's Miz TV segment began on a rather turbulent note as the A-Lister vented out his frustrations regarding Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel's role in The Miztourage.

He began by asking the duo whether they were having fun as a team before going on a disrespectful rant. It didn't end there as Seth Rollins and Finn Balor came out to further incite Dallas and Axel into turning on their boss.

However, the segment broke down into complete chaos...

In case you didn't know...

The WWE careers of Dallas and Axel -- as rightfully pointed out by the Miz on Raw -- were going nowhere just about a year ago. The A-Lister took them under his wing and formed the heel stable in June 2017 and the trio has gone on to be featured in most of the top storylines on Raw.

With The Miz's triple threat match just being around the corner, WWE advertised Balor and Rollins as the guests of Miz TV for tonight's episode of Raw and WWE surprisingly made the predictable segment worth investing time in.

The heart of the matter

The Miz began the most must-see tv show in WWE history by stating that Axel and Dallas should be grateful to him for them getting prominent screen time.

Rollins' music hit and the Architect predictably added fuel to fire. He said that The Miz should be the thankful one as, without Dallas and Axel, he wouldn't have been the Intercontinental Champion in the first place.

Rollins led the fans into chanting 'Miztourage' that brought a smile on Dallas and Axel's face. Dallas was visibly triggered and took a shot at Miz by calling him a "phony A-Lister who can't fight".

Balor joined the proceedings and rubbed salt into the wounds. The Miz then slapped Dallas in a fit of rage and stated that he was 34 days away from becoming the longest reigning champion in WWE history and that they had to stay on the same page.

'Yes' chants broke out as Dallas and Axel looked upset and refused to leave the ring while also blocking The Miz. in the process. They teased turning on their leader before assaulting Balor and Rollins, who were wickedly smiling behind The Miz's back.

The Miztourage began beating down the babyfaces as Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson ran out to make the save. Balor, Rollins and The Miz were the ones left in the ring after a chaotic brawl. 'The Demon King' ended the segment on a high by taking out both Rollins and The Miz and held the Intercontinental Champion title high up in the air.

What's next?

The Miz will defend his Intercontinental Title at WrestleMania 34 in New Orleans on April 8th in a triple threat match involving Balor and Rollins. Early betting odds reveal Balor as the favorite to walk out of New Orleans with the title but current booking trends also favor Rollins heavily.

A goof-up by an arena that is set to host a live event after Mania may have spoiled the outcome of the Intercontinental championship match.

Author's take

I was initially put off by WWE's lazy offering of another Miz TV segment that we've seen countless times before. However, a well-executed teaser of a split got everyone invested. Going by the looks of it, Dallas and Axel could be handed their breakout moments after The Show of Shows is in the books in a couple of weeks.
