What's the story?

It was announced today through Twitter that the WWE UK Champion Pete Dunne, and other WWE UK Stars, have been added to WWE's November UK Tour.

In case you didn't know...

WWE decided to expand in the UK this year with the WWE UK Championship tournament in January. 16 men from the UK and Ireland competed in the event at the Empress Ballroom In Blackpool, England. It lasted for two days.

Tyler Bates, a 19-year-old, won the tournament to become UK Champion.

However, after a potential WWE Match of the Year candidate, Pete Dunne defeated Tyler Bate at the NXT Takeover: Chicago in May to become the new champ.

The BruiserWeight, as Dunne is known, most recently defended his title on an episode of NXT in September against WolfGang:

The heart of the matter

Earlier on today, WWE UK's Twitter page shared a video with Champion Dunne, Bates and Seven. The trio confirmed that they would be appearing and wrestling on the WWE UK Tour at the start of November alongside the WWE main roster.

Pete also tweeted regarding the announcement:

Other UK stars that will be on the tour include Wolfgang, Mark Andrews and Joe Connors among others.

What's next?

WWE will have live events from the 1st until the 9th of November in the UK.

You will be able to see WWE UK Champ Dunne and other UK stars in action along with either the Raw or SmackDown Superstars, depending on which brand is scheduled for each show.

Author's take

I think it is great news that these guys will be on the WWE UK Tour, I was just shocked WWE did not let fans know any sooner. It was a poor marketing step and they were slow to advertise these men for the UK Tour back in May. I was at WWE Live in Dublin, Ireland, back in May, and the match between Irish stars Jordan Devlin and Tucker, who were both in January's UK Tournament, was fantastic.

I am excited to see the matches the UK stars put on this time around.
