What's the story?

Former WWE European Champion Sean Waltman aka X-Pac recently took to Twitter and stated that he would like to face former WWE Universal Champion Finn Balor to a one-on-one match.

In case you didn’t know…

X-Pac is a former WWE European Champion, Light Heavyweight Champion, and also a former WWF Tag Team Champion. He is a former member of D-Generation X, who was first signed by WWE in 1993, and remained a part of the company for well over five years and won numerous major honours throughout his career.

He was also a former member of the New World Order faction, during his time in both WCW and WWE.

The heart of the matter

Sean Waltman was recently asked by a fan on Twitter that if he had to go back to the WWE for one more match, then who his dream opponent would be from the current main-roster.

Waltman responded to the fan via his official Twitter account by quoting the tweet and tagging former WWE NXT Champion, Finn Balor, in it.

X-Pac’s response clearly indicated that he would like to step into the ring with Balor.

What’s next?

Sean Waltman is currently 45 years old and is still very active when it comes to in-ring competitiveness. He has been working a lot on the current Independent scene and has wrestled for promotions such as Chikara, Bar Wrestling, IPW: UK and much more.

Waltman has also won various championships in the indy scene; he has previously held the Jersey Pro Wrestling Tag Team Championships with Joey Janela and has also won the Ironman Heavymetalweight Championship in DDT, which is one of the top Japanese promotions of all time.

On the other hand, Finn Balor will be currently focusing on the upcoming Survivor Series 5-on-5 traditional tag team match between Team Raw and Team Smackdown. On this week’s episode of Raw, Balor was added to Kurt Angle’s team for Survivor Series— along with Samoa Joe.

Author’s Take

Despite leaving WWE, X-Pac has been seen backstage at various WWE shows as he remains a good friend of COO, Triple H. If Waltman is to ever return to a WWE ring, then I surely wouldn’t mind seeing him and Balor square off inside a WWE ring
