WWE News: YouTube star signs with WWE
What's the story?
WWE is apparently planning to collaborate with YouTube star Inanna Sarkis. They appear to have signed her to a developmental deal, as suggested by Triple H. WWE posted the following tweet:
In case you didn’t know…
Inanna Sarkis is a Social media personality, English actress, model and popular Viner. She also wrote and directed a short film called Aura. She was six years old when she began learning to play the piano and become an expert pianist. She always had interest in sports entertainment.
Sarkis, 24, counts 1.5 million subscribers on her Youtube channel, where she posts comedy sketches. She is signed to Shots Studios and is also set to star in Tyler Perry’s 2! A Madea Haloween, which hits theatres on Oct. 20.
The heart of the matter
Sarkis posted a new video to her YouTube page that shows her daydreaming and showing off some moves as her self-created WWE persona, "Miss North." Sarkis soon comes back to reality in the sketch, getting into a quick chat with Matt Bloom, head trainer at the WWE Performance Center. The video can be seen below.
Inanna then inquires about the Mae Young Classic, and she is told that she can attend the Final Round, which takes place this Tuesday night in Las Vegas, airing exclusively on WWE Network.
Triple H even took notice of the video, sending out this tweet welcoming "North" to WWE... sort-of.
Inanna will be attending Finals of the Mae Young Classic. She really wants to be a part of the tournament and could possibly be unveiled as a new WWE superstar. Although she has no previous experience in the ring but will be keen to work at the WWE Performance Centre and hone her skills.
The WWE boasts a massive presence on YouTube with more than 17 million subscribers on its channel, they would like to add few known superstars to their roster. And with Triple H nearly confirming it means she could've already signed with WWE.
