What's the story?Former WWE superstar James Ellsworth, and former Impact Wrestling Knockout Chelsea Green (formerly known as Laurel Van Ness) spoke out about Blackcat Events on social media. They called out the promotion for not compensating them for their paid appearances. The truth will come out soon.— Blackcat Events (@BlackCat_Events) April 17, 2018LOL BRO! The truth came out. You’re a fraud and we’ve made sure the wrestling community knows that! Goodluck surviving in this industry. https://t.co/5YVZP9opEW— Chelsea Green (@ImChelseaGreen) April 29, 2018Truth is, you still owe me, @ImChelseaGreen and other $$ and you won’t return calls, texts and have us blocked on all your social media, and will have me blocked after this tweet, loser https://t.co/USGGNfgsjn— James Ellsworth (@realellsworth) April 29, 2018Zack Ryder, Chelsea Green's boyfriend, also spoke up on social media at that point. We thank Fightful for the update. In case you didn't know...A host of events were organized around WrestleMania weekend in New Orleans including several special meet and greets. One such event was a party with the Impact Wrestling Knockouts that was apparently canceled at the last minute. From the looks of it, no talent was compensated. They went to social media and called out the promotion for not honoring their agreement. In return, Blackcat Events promised to bring the truth to light, but it eventually devolved into a war of words soon thereafter. The heart of the matterWhen Zack Ryder got involved in the Twitter battle, the same took an ugly turn. Blackcat Events started threatening libel and even tagged the top brass of WWE in their post. This was Ryder's first Tweet, sent out in response to Blackcat Events' original post:FRAUD. THIEF. LIAR. ETC. https://t.co/bor0GeLgI7— Zack Ryder (@ZackRyder) April 29, 2018Blackcat Events would retaliate and post the following response on Twitter:I mean @WWE @VinceMcMahon @StephMcMahon @TripleH - wwe owns the name and character @ZackRyder - thus you are responsible if he libels me on social media https://t.co/NoWXXZ6DzK— Blackcat Events (@BlackCat_Events) April 29, 2018Chelsea Green responded to the post and put up a Tweet of her own:Lol at @BlackCat_Events using a big word he just googled ... don’t worry, we have proof to go with that “libel”.— Chelsea Green (@ImChelseaGreen) April 29, 2018Blackcat Events then explained their point of view about the whole matter:And then ole @ZackRyder says im a fraud and a thief. What did i steal? Waiting... whats the fraud? To acquire money via false pretenses. We tried to do the event. It didnt work. Money was refunded.— Blackcat Events (@BlackCat_Events) April 29, 2018What's next? The credibility of Blackcat Events has been damaged significantly following this particular episode. As is obvious, most of the Internet Wrestling Community sided with the Superstars and not the promotion. If there is any further update on this matter, we shall be sure to let you know.Author's takeI wasn't present on the ground, so it's impossible for me to comment. There's never any smoke without fire though, and we're certain that Green, Ryder, and Ellsworth wouldn't have spoken up if there wasn't any just cause.Let's hope that this issue meets a fair resolution.Send us news tips at fightclub@sportskeeda.com
