WWE NXT News: Authors of Pain debuting next week
The two big men laid waste to American Alpha at NXT TakeOver
This week’s NXT Takeover: The End once again lived up to its hype and impressed fans worldwide. Among several other matches, the NXT Tag team Championship match stood out to be one of the best matches of the night. The Revival defeated American Alpha to become the first ever two-time NXT Tag team Champions.
After the match was over, the former champions were attacked by two wrestlers, Sunny Dhinsa and Gzim Selmani. They were soon identified as the Authors of Pain, a new team joining the NXT roster. To the surprise of the live audience in the Full Sail University, WWE Hall of Famer Paul Ellering revealed himself as the manager of this new team.
Wrestlinginc.com reports that the Authors of Pain and Paul Ellering will be making their official NXT TV debuts together, next Wednesday night. Their first opponents are going to be two local wrestlers.
The Authors of Pain were signed by WWE last year and they have been training in the performance center since then. Although they will be making their television debuts next week, the team has worked in NXT live events in the past.
In another news, the Full Sail crowd was subjected to criticism as they chanted ‘Who are you?’ after Paul Ellering made his entrance. WWE Superstar Kevin Owens pointed it out on the social media. He tweeted :
Also, the Full Sail arena chanting "who are you?" at Paul Ellering is a great example of why I'm glad I don't wrestle there anymore.— Kevin Owens (@FightOwensFight) June 9, 2016
