Peyton Royce (w/ Billie Kay) vs Nikki Cross vs Liv Morgan (NXT Women’s Championship qualifying match)

Nikki Cross was the favourite going into the match. The three women put on a fast paced match but it was an interference that led to the main talking point. Nikki Cross was the favourite going in but The Undiputed Era came out with Taynara Conti, convincing the MYC competitor to interfere.

Her first attempt was unsuccessful as Nikki forearmed her off the arpron. A little later she pulled Nikki off a pin and out of the ring. She immediately regretted her decision and was chased around the ring and back inside.

Nikki followed her in and Royce immediately hit her with a spin kick. She then hit the Fisherman Suplex for the win.

Lio Rush vs Velveteen Dream

Lio Rush finally made his in-ring debut this week after getting blindsided by Velveteen Dream last week. The match was short but really good.

Lio Rush showed off his incredible speed early on as he flew around the ring avoiding his larger opponent, before finally hitting a step up enzeguiri. The crowd got behind Lio quickly but his momentum was soon ground to a halt.

Velveteen smashed Lio into the turnbuckle but Lio hit back by hitting a tornado DDT. However, that was it for Lio as Dream hit the Purple Rainmaker for the win.

A good win for Velveteen Dream as he gets ready for his match with Aleister Black.

Danny Burch vs Lars Sullivan

Danny Burch looked to avenge his new partner Oney Lorcan as he faced Lars Sullivan next. Burch unprecedentedly walked up to Sullivan and slapped him across the face as soon as the match started. As the sound rang out around the arena, Sullivan took him down and started clubbing him across the head.

Sullivan then threw Burch into the corner and hit a running Stinger splash. Burch briefly got some punches and uppercuts in but Sullivan knocked him down with the clothesline. He then hit the spinebuster fot the win.

Street Profits vs Damien Smith and Espada

The super popular Street Profits came out next. Everything is falling in place for Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins and they look like they have a bright future.

The match started with Ford dropping to his knees and making fun of how big, or not so big, Damien Smith was. He then took Smith down with a shoulder charge before tagging Dawkins in. He jumped over Ford and onto Smith’s back before running around the ring and celebrating.

Dawkins then hit a spinebuster and Ford followed it with a Frog Splash for the win.

Johnny Gargano vs Andrade ‘Cien’ Almas (w/ Zolita Vega)

This match tore the house down. It was top notch, easily TakeOver quality. The two of them are like yin and yang, polar opposites who work so well together. The dirtbag and the babyface who’s too good for his own good.

Gargano and Almas started off with some quick mat wrestling before they came to a stalemate. Johnny then went for an attempted a submission move, with Almas quickly getting himself to the ropes to break it. Gargano followed it with a hurracanrana before reversing a suplex and hitting a big boot.

After the break, Gargano was in the corner before he suplex Almas onto the floor and hit a suicide dive. When the action went back into the ring, Almas rolled Gargano up for a quick 2-count before hitting a Dragon Suplex for a nearfall. More back and forth later, the two men traded strikes and kicks before Almas reversed a Powerbomb and hit a lariat.

Gargano finally locked in the Garga-No-Escape but Vega distracted him by taking her jacket of. She was wearing a DIY t-shirt underneath. It didn’t distract Gargano completely but it allowed Almas to reach the ropes.

Almas then hit Gargano with two running double knees to the back of the head before hitting the Hammerlock DDT for the win.
