Johnny Gargano vs Andrade ‘Cien’ Almas (w/ Zolita Vega)

This match tore the house down. It was top notch, easily TakeOver quality. The two of them are like yin and yang, polar opposites who work so well together. The dirtbag and the babyface who’s too good for his own good.

Gargano and Almas started off with some quick mat wrestling before they came to a stalemate. Johnny then went for an attempted a submission move, with Almas quickly getting himself to the ropes to break it. Gargano followed it with a hurracanrana before reversing a suplex and hitting a big boot.

After the break, Gargano was in the corner before he suplex Almas onto the floor and hit a suicide dive. When the action went back into the ring, Almas rolled Gargano up for a quick 2-count before hitting a Dragon Suplex for a nearfall. More back and forth later, the two men traded strikes and kicks before Almas reversed a Powerbomb and hit a lariat.

Gargano finally locked in the Garga-No-Escape but Vega distracted him by taking her jacket of. She was wearing a DIY t-shirt underneath. It didn’t distract Gargano completely but it allowed Almas to reach the ropes.

Almas then hit Gargano with two running double knees to the back of the head before hitting the Hammerlock DDT for the win.
