Bobby Roode addresses the NXT Universe
Bobby Roode came out for the final segment. He came down to the ring and declared that everywhere he looked, people were talking about Hideo Itami and the GTS. He then added that Itami had knocked a couple of people out and broken a couple of jaws, including Roode a few weeks ago on NXT.
Roode then said he hoped Itami had enjoyed that moment because it wouldn’t happen ever again – because at TakeOver Chicago, he wouldn’t be standing in the ring in a $5000 suit but in his wrestling gear. He then added that he would make an example out of Itami before saying that he wasn’t aware that Itami still worked there.
As Roode continue trash talking Itami, the former KENTA’s music hit. Roode said things like “We don’t need to do this right now” as Itami made his way down to the ring. William Regal came out with security guards to calm Itami down as Roode took off his jacket and rolled up his sleeves.
Itami ran past the security and attacked Roode. When they followed him and restrained him, he hit two of the security guards with GTS’. As he turned on the third one, Roode attacked him from behind. Itami hit Roode with a GTS out of nowhere as fans chanted “TKO” as the show came to a close.
