Next, we saw footage from the big NXT Championship match between Drew McIntyre and Bobby Roode, the one which led to the crowning of a brand new NXT Champion. The one that saw the formation of the ROH Faction on NXT and the debut of Adam Cole.

Bobby Roode refused to do a post match interview, but was interrupted by Roderick Strong, his arch nemesis, who blew him a kiss. Footage of his debut from SmackDown Live was played next and NXT attempted to interview him again, and this time they were far more successful.

Roode admitted that despite his call up, he was still going to be a part of NXT, first to take care of Strong and second, to regain his NXT Championship.

We saw some footage of Aleister Black and Hideo Itami from Takeover: Brooklyn, and the cameras tried to get a quote from the man, to no avail.

Tyler Bate & Trent Seven vs Pete Dunne & Wolfgang

The main event was great, as always!
The UK Tournament participants tore it up again!

The UK Tournament combatants were over as they made their way down to the ring, especially the UK Champion Pete Dunne, who returned to WWE TV for the first time since NXT Takeover: Chicago, 3 months ago. The old rivals Dunne and Bate squared off, trading an impressive array of holds, with the crowd chanting 'UK' with all their energy. We saw a mat wrestling clinic from the men, as neither would gain the upper hand on the other.

Bate delivered a drop kick and tagged in his partner Trent Seven, who executed a flawless shoulder drop on Pete Dunne. Quick tags followed, but the wily Pete Dunne delivered a forearm smash to Seven's face, gaining the upper hand in this massive contest.

Wolfgang was tagged in, but he suffered some huge chops and a DDT from Trent Seven. A distraction from Dunne allowed Wolfgang to turn the tables on Seven. Dunne was tagged in and he delivered punishment to the babyface.

Racking him into various torturous submission moves, Seven looked in pain. Wolfgang was tagged in and he continued the assault, but Seven seized the advantage with a snap dragon suplex immediately. Bate was tagged in and he made the ultimate babyface comeback, showing impressive strength.

He lifted Dunne up for the Airplane spin as well. Wolfgang broke up the three count, and all the men entered the fray then. Bate delivered his finisher on Dunne, but he wasn't the legal man at that point. This allowed Wolfgang to deliver his high flying finishing move and pick up the big win.
