The Authors of Pain vs TM61

The
The final, to the beginning

We kick things off with the first round match of the 2018 Dusty Classic Tag Team Tournament, as the two final teams from last years tournament finals, the Authors of Pain and TM61, collide.

TM61 started off fast but it didn't last very long. After some AOP domination, Shane Thorne got the crowd behind him as he hit a Falcon Arrow on Rezar, which was quickly followed by a near fall moonsault from Nick Miller. Thorne was powerbombed over the top rope and onto the ring apron.

Miller was then given an exploder suplex into the corner and pinned after The Last Chapter.

AOP will face the winners of next week's match between The Street Profits and Heavy Machinery.

WWE UK Champion Pete Dunne showed signs of a face turn by crediting Roderick Strong from their Championship match and nearly getting into a physical exchange with Adam Cole. The to will face off for the UK Championship next week.

SAnitY are shown next, speaking of their impending victories in the Dusty Classic, and Killian over Aleister Black later on.

Bianca Belair vs Dru Renee

Hair pow
No hair power tonight!

Just a quick squash here. We didn't see any of her signature hair whipping, as Bianca scored the win with a falling powerbomb. Complete domination here.

Lacey Evans sets up her match next week with Dakota Kai. She said she's here to show that she is the classiest woman in NXT and Kai has no class. Shayna Baszler stormed into the interview area, which caused Evans to leave.

Baszler said she has been waiting for several weeks for Ember Moon to reply to her challenge and implied that Moon is a coward.

Tommaso Ciampa Appears

More anti-Gargano antics

Tommaso Ciampa walked out to the arena with no music while dragging his crutch, he was met with chants of Johnny Gargano. Ciampa was booed loudly when he tried to speak and cheered when he threw down the mic in anger. He was booed even more as he was leaving. That explains why he grabbed a Johnny Gargano sign from a fan and ripped it.

Aleister Black vs Killian Dain

And the new
And the new number 1 contender...

It was now time for the main event to crown a new number one contender for the NXT Championship. Dain gets the early advantage with a running dropkick and a series of corner splashes. Black managed to finally get out of the way and began to chop and kick him, but was quickly overturned by Dain once more.

Black used an Asai moonsault for a near fall, he was then countered from the top rope by a clothesline from Dain, who got some near falls of his own with a Wasteland and a Vader Bomb. Dain went for the Ulster Plantation, but Black rolled through and took Dain's head off with the Black Mass for the win and to become the new number one contender. Highly entertaining match.
