Shayna Baszler vs Dakota Kai
The first match of the night was Shayna Baszler against fellow Mae Young Classic competitor Dakota Kai. Shayna Baszler dominated the match from the very beginning. The referee called a stop to the contest because Dakota Kai was unable to continue with the match.

After the match, Shayna Baszler attacked Dakota Kai with a headlock until NXT Women's Champion Ember Moon came to Dakota Kai's aid.
The Authors of Pain (Rezar and Akam) with Paul Ellering cut a promo on Sanity.
William Regal was seen backstage talking to Shayna Baszler telling her that she shouldn't attack people from behind because attacks don't get title shots in his own words. Shayna Baszler didn't have much to say.
Kassius Ohno vs Raul Mendoza
Kassius Ohno and Raul Mendoza opened up the match shaking hands and showing sportsmanship. The match kicked off with unsuccessful pin attempts by both wrestlers. Raul Mendoza also hit Kassius Ohno with head scissors after Ohno tried to throw Mendoza into the turnbuckles, but Mendoza jumped on the second turnbuckle.
Kassius Ohno would hit a big senton on Raul Mendoza and then had an unsuccessful pin attempt. The crowd was chanting "Ohno". Raul Mendoza, later in the match was looking for a tiger fate kick. Kassius Ohno hit Raul Mendoza with the High Tension Elbow Strike for the win.

Zelina Vega was backstage being interviewed about Johnny Gargano. Zelina Vega said Johnny Gargano got lucky in the fatal-four-way match to become the number one contender for the NXT Championship. Johnny Gargano is an opportunist and not a fighter and he, according to Zelina Vega took advantage of the right opponent in the fatal-four-way match at the right time. Zelina then alluded to how Andrade already defeated Johnny Gargano twice.
Johnny Gargano was then interviewed, talking about the fatal-four-way match where he said nobody expected him to win. Velveteen Dream interrupted the interview and told Johnny Gargano to thank him.
Velveteen Dream told Johnny Gargano he got lucky. Velveteen Dream also told Johnny Gargano it took thirty minutes for him to beat Kassius Ohno, while Dream said he could beat Kassius Ohno in thirty seconds.
Dream also told Johnny Gargano he got lucky against Aleister Black. He then told Gargano that there's no way he will defeat Andrade 'Cien' Almas at NXT TakeOver: Philadelphia
Backstage The Street Profits were seen with NXT General Manager William Regal. William Regal told The Street Profits that they would have a match next week against The Authors of Pain in a number one contenders match to face the NXT Tag Team Champions.
Lio Rush vs Lars Sullivan
The match opened up with Lars Sullivan trying to charge at Lio Rush. Rush was too quick for Lars Sullivan at the beginning of the match. When Lars Sullivan got the offence in, he started to overpower Lio Rush. Lars Sullivan hit Lio Rush with the Freak Accident for the victory.

After the match, Lars Sullivan cut a promo. He talked about facing opponent after opponent with all of them falling from his hands. Lars Sullivan's voice sounds like The Undertaker or Kane. Take your pick. Lars Sullivan would go on to throw a challenge out to Killian Dain. He then attacked Lio Rush despite the match finishing.
Backstage, The Undisputed Era attacked and beat down Eric Young & Killian Dain. Adam Cole asked the tag champions Kyle O'Reilly and Bobby Fish of The Undisputed Era what was missing. Then Adam Cole asked where Sanity was.
Nikki Cross of Sanity tried to come to the ring to get revenge on The Undisputed Era for what they did to her stablemates, but she was restrained by the officials. Adam Cole mocked her. GM William Regal made his way to the ring to tell The Undisputed Era that they would be defending the NXT Tag Team Championships later in the night.
Right when Adam Cole was trying to interrupt William Regal, Roderick Strong showed up. Aleister Black followed.
The Undisputed Era (Bobby Fish and Kyle O'Reilly)(c) vs Roderick Strong and Aleister Black - NXT Tag Team Championships
The match opened up with Aleister Black and Kyle O'Reilly. Roderick Strong delivered a dropkick to Bobby Fish after both O'Reilly and Fish were outside the ring. Aleister Black had a couple of pin attempts on O'Reilly, who kicked out. Aleister Black put Kyle O'Reilly in an armlock before tagging in Roderick Strong. There was great double team work by the team of Roderick Strong and Aleister Black.
Bobby Fish from outside the ring took a cheap shot with what looked to be a sweep kick to Aleister Black's left leg, causing Black to fall on the floor. There was a commercial break, but after the break, Bobby Fish and Kyle O'Reilly had Aleister Black in their corner while continuing to tag in and out with double team work.
Ultimately, it was a distraction by The Undisputed Era that saw them hit their finisher on Roderick Strong for the win.
