Alex Shelley & Kushida vs. Grizzled Young Veterans - Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic First Round Match
Shelley was set to make his WWE TV debut and the match kicked off with him and Gibson in the ring. After the commercials, Drake hit a backbreaker and tagged in Gibson for a double team move.
Kushida went up top but was quickly dropped by Gibson as he fell into the barricades. The Veterans hit a double team Codebreaker and got the win on Shelley and advanced to round 2.
Result: Grizzled Young Veterans def. Alex Shelley & Kushida and moved on to Round 2
