Pete Dunne vs Kyle O'Reilly - United Kingdom Championship Match

Pete Dunne had a tough battle defending his UK title

Pete Dunne and Adam Cole have had a number of issues in recent weeks but it was Kyle O'Reilly who was given the chance to become the first Canadian United Kingdom Champion this week on NXT.

Dunne is sporting a taped leg, but this doesn't stop The Bruiserweight from showing some interesting technical skill as he and O'Reilly kick of the match with some mat wrestling. This leads to an exchange of pins before Dunne then focuses' his attack on O'Reilly's arm.

O'Reilly works the leg and then the two men trade ankle locks before Dunne ends the sequence with a sit out powerbomb, O'Reilly counters it into a triangle choke but Dunne cartwheels out.

O'Reilly pulls out Dunne's mouthguard and is too busy taunting to take an advantage so Dunne snaps his fingers and delivers The Bitter End to pick up the win and retain his Championship.

After the match Adam Cole and Roderick Strong attack Dunne until Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch make the save. It's the number one contenders to the NXT Tag Team Championships that get the upper hand and throw O'Reilly and Strong out of the ring, sending a direct message to the Champions ahead of their showdown this weekend.
