What's the story?

Ricochet and Aleister Black wrestled the War Raiders at NXT TakeOver: New York for a shot at the NXT Tag-Team Titles but unfortunately the pair came up short against Hanson and Rowe.

Whilst the match itself was incredible, the main talking point heading into WrestleMania might be Ricochet's health status as reports of a potential injury start coming in from people live in the arena.

In case you didn't know..

Ricochet and Black were among the second lot of NXT call-ups in previous months and have enjoyed a successful run on the main roster thus far as a tag-team, getting several victories over established main roster teams and even competing for the Raw Tag-Team Titles.

They won the Dusty Rhodes Classic this year to earn the NXT TakeOver: New York match, and also find themselves pulling double duty over WrestleMania weekend as they're also in a multiple team match for the SmackDown Live Tag Team Titles.

The heart the matter

The ending of the match between War Raiders and Ricochet and Black saw the NXT crowd give the latter team a standing ovation in what might be their last appearance inside an NXT ring.

However what many missed was the referee, doctors and Black himself checking on Ricochet, who appeared to have possibly picked up an injury.

If Ricochet has indeed picked up an injury there's a chance that he and Aleister Black might need to be pulled from the SmackDown Live Tag-Team Title match at WrestleMania which would be a huge blow for both men.

What's next?

At the moment any talk of an injury for Ricochet is highly speculative and WWE could've just been taking a precaution with him.

Let's all keep our fingers crossed that 'The One and Only' is okay and will make it to 'Mania!
