The only reason I'm calling this title win a surprise is because of the dominant fashion in which Shayna Baszler has been booked in NXT thus far. It would be fair to say that she's been booked as dominantly as Brock Lesnar has, in the main roster.
I daresay that there's a certain contingent of fans that believe that Shayna Baszler's run has made the NXT Women's Division far less interesting than it should be. Maybe it is time for a change of guard and someone like Yim could be the right person to lead the charge this time.

Yim can potentially face off against heel Io Shirai in the months that follow if she becomes Champion. Could we see her raise her hands in victory at Toronto?
We don't have to wait too long to find out.
