With two days to go until WWE Payback 2020, the storyline involving Alexa Bliss and “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt took another twist on SmackDown when Nikki Cross pointed out that Bliss’ new dreadlock reminded her of “The Fiend”.

Over the last year, “The Fiend” has altered the minds and personalities of several WWE Superstars after attacking them multiple times, including Finn Balor, Seth Rollins, The Miz, Daniel Bryan and Braun Strowman.

It appeared as though WWE might have abruptly dropped Bliss’ involvement in this storyline after she failed to appear in the match between “The Fiend” and Strowman at SummerSlam, but her segment on Friday confirmed that Bray Wyatt’s alter-ego is still very much in her mind ahead of WWE Payback 2020.

The WWE Payback 2020 main event (“The Fiend” vs. Braun Strowman vs. Roman Reigns) is all about the return of Reigns and his quest to win back the Universal Championship, but there is still every chance that Bliss could make a statement by costing Strowman the match.

After all, the Triple Threat match has a No Holds Barred stipulation, which means anybody can interfere and there is no risk of disqualification.

Perhaps Bliss, whose feelings still appear to be torn between “The Fiend” and Strowman, could bring an end to her friendship with The Monster Among Men by distracting him to set up the finish to the WWE Payback 2020 main event.
