This is another WWE Payback 2020 match that is very difficult to predict.

Keith Lee is the future of WWE and this is his first pay-per-view since officially becoming a member of the RAW roster, so he needs to pick up a statement-making victory to be viewed as a legitimate threat on the red brand moving forward.

In contrast, Randy Orton is the top heel in WWE right now and he looks likely to challenge Drew McIntyre for the WWE Championship in a SummerSlam rematch at Clash of Champions, so how can he prepare for that match with a second PPV loss in a row?

In a storyline update before WWE Payback 2020, WWE reported that McIntyre may have suffered a skull fracture and possible bleeding to his brain after being struck with three punt kicks from Orton on RAW.

Unless he has John Cena recovery powers, that presumably means that McIntyre will not appear at WWE Payback 2020, with Orton vs. Lee taking place with no interference from the Scot.

If that is the case, let’s predict that Lee will record a huge victory over Orton at WWE Payback 2020, possibly setting up a Triple Threat match for the WWE Championship at Clash of Champions.

Beyond that, Orton and McIntyre can settle their heated rivalry in a match inside Hell in a Cell later in the year.
