One wouldn’t usually expect someone to overshadow a match like the one between The New Day and The Hurt Business. But it is safe to say that this week’s episode of WWE RAW was full of pleasant surprises. The second match of the night was between Riddle and Sheamus, and their in-ring encounter went beyond everyone’s expectations.

Riddle and Shamus locked horns in a match that would determine one of the competitors of the huge triple threat match set to take place next week. Both Superstars locked horns in a brutal match that got better with each passing minute. Their match at WWE RAW started slowly with both Riddle and Sheamus exchanging hard-hitting blows.
They took turns to dominate the match, and slowly transitioned their match into a fast-paced encounter. But the standout spots from the match saw Riddle taking a lot of punishment. He was brutalized throughout the match and still managed to get back on his feet every single time. Ultimately, his persistence paid off after Riddle managed to roll Sheamus and pin him up. Sheamus was left stunned inside the ring while Riddle celebrated his qualification in the triple-threat match that will determine Drew McIntyre’s next challenger next week on WWE RAW.
Sheamus deserves equal, if not more, credit for this match which was clearly the best one from tonight’s show. If anything, this match proved that a feud between both these Superstars has a lot of potential on WWE RAW. Can you imagine the banter and the in-ring action? Hopefully, the WWE creative will cash-in on this opportunity.
